To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and to leverage the educational functions of patriotic education bases and classic red tourism attractions, telling stories of the new era, inheriting the red genes, and promoting the revolutionary spirit, continuous efforts are made to strengthen the construction of the interpretation team, cultivate and practice the core socialist values. On October 27th, the Zhejiang selection competition (professional group) of the 4th National Red Story Interpreter Competition, themed "Saluting the New Era, Telling New Stories", was held at the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
The selection competition, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, saw active recommendations and rigorous selections in the lead-up. Jiang Xinying and Zou Jie, outstanding interpreters from Jiacheng Group's cultural and tourism subsidiary and members of the Nanhucheng Red Story Propagation Team, participated in this selection competition. They competed alongside 21 contestants selected from various cities, learning from each other and showcasing their skilled storytelling abilities and composed stage performances. Both of them stood out and advanced to the finals (with a total of 4 contestants from Zhejiang Province). In the subsequent national competition, they will represent Zhejiang with distinction.
At the competition venue, contestants centered their narratives around the red resources from various regions, using vivid examples and sincere emotions to recount deeply touching stories. Some spoke passionately, while others narrated with profound sentiment, all aiming to encourage people to move forward with the values embodied by advanced role models.Jiang Xinying from the Cultural and Tourism Group presented "Bricks Carrying a Hundred Years" as her theme. Starting from what seemed like an ordinary brick, she unfolded the story around Mr. Han Tianheng, a calligrapher and seal carver, and an injured veteran from the Southwest Liberation Campaign, connecting them with the story of the "Centenary of the Founding of the Party" brick. Through her narrative, she conveyed the essence of staying true to one's original aspirations to the audience and judges.Zou Jie chose "The Mountains You Ran Across Are Now in Full Bloom" as her topic. She recounted the story of Chen Minjian, a cadre from Jiaxing who participated in the assistance program in Heishui County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Chen tragically passed away at the age of 41 due to overwork and sudden illness. Zou used real stories and transformative photos to deeply move every listener in the audience with her emotional narrative.
From the municipal level to the provincial level and now onto the national stage, this recognition of the selected topics reflects affirmation of the contestants' works and also acknowledges the Jiacheng Group's interpretation team. Especially in recent years, Jiacheng Group has provided more extensive and higher-level training platforms, encouraging participation in industry competitions and facilitating learning exchanges to continuously enhance the interpretive skills of its members. This effort has resulted in the selection and cultivation of a professional and highly skilled Nanhucheng Red Story Propagation Team, dedicated to telling stories of the new era and spreading the positive voices of the new era.In the next steps, the two contestants will continue to refine their competition manuscripts and performance styles, presenting the best of Nanhucheng's voices on the national stage and showcasing the charm of Nanhucheng.
