On December 29th in the afternoon, the 2023 annual assessment meeting for tour guides of Nanhu Tourism Area was held at the Chuxin Lecture Hall of the Jiaxing Party and Mass Service Center. Experts including Hong Jian, the Party Committee Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Literature and Law at Jiaxing University, Hu Zhengyi, the Director of the Propaganda and Education Department of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee, Fu Chengyi, the Director of the Socialism Department of the Zhejiang Red Boat Cadre Institute, and Qiao Haiyan, the Dean of the School of Culture and Tourism at Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College, as well as Jiang Feng, the Deputy Director of the Jiaxing Cultural Museum, served as judges. Yu Jianming, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Jia Cheng Group, and Chairman of Nanhu Cultural Tourism Group, along with members of the Nanhu Cultural Tourism Group and all party members, and tour guides from the Red Education Alliance units attended the event.

At the assessment meeting, 12 tour guides from the scenic area focused on the theme "Paying Tribute to the New Era, Telling New Stories Well," centering around the achievements Jiaxing has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of China since the 18th National Congress. They eloquently narrated red stories that have occurred in Jiaxing. These stories included "Diamonds in the Nuclear Industry" and "Grandpa's 'Love Beans' are 'Masterpieces of the Nation'" showcasing the craftsmanship in technological innovation; "New Era Common Prosperity Bus," "Sweet Covenant Across Mountains and Seas," and "Beautiful Transformation of a Meeting Table" exemplifying the vivid practice under the guidance of the "88 Strategy" and the "Million Projects"; and "Light · 'Blind'," "People's 'Mobile Police Station'," "A Promise Once Made, Twice Aided in Africa," "A Hammer that Serves a Lifetime," and "Boundless Great Love" reflecting the humanistic spirit of Jiaxing in the new era. Following this, three teachers from the Jiaxing Red Education Center presented three themed routes—"Innovation," "Struggle," and "Dedication"—around which they vividly recounted the fruitful achievements and bright prospects of Jiaxing's economic and social development. After the presentations, the tour guides showcased their personal talents, integrating dance, recitation, and other forms, presenting gripping dramas like "The Hidden Light," poetic recitations imbued with the charm of the Nan River, and song and dance performances depicting the beautiful appearance of the Red Boat's departure place, demonstrating the beautiful image of Jiaxing and its bright future.

Five expert judges carefully recorded and commented that the South Lake Cultural Tourism guides are a team with warmth, depth, altitude, and attitude. They play a demonstrative and leading role in the red preaching teams of Jiaxing. The judges provided professional guidance focusing on the conception of scripts, refining content, on-site interpretation, and preaching techniques. They also looked forward to collaborations between schools and enterprises, as well as the cultivation and development of talents.

Jiacheng Group's Party Committee member, Deputy General Manager, and Chairman of South Lake Cultural Tourism Group, Yu Jianming, fully affirmed the meticulous preparation and achievements of the guides at the assessment meeting, and put forward the following requirements:

Firstly, to strengthen consensus and attach great importance to the construction of the guiding team. Yu Jianming demanded that the guides of South Lake Cultural Tourism should possess higher political literacy, more refined professional skills, and better spiritual outlook. They should serve as a banner and vanguard, telling the story of Jiaxing's cultural characteristics and deep red culture, thereby continuously building the golden brand of red preaching for South Lake Cultural Tourism.

Secondly, to enhance innovation and actively promote the improvement of the guiding team. By fully leveraging the tradition of passing on knowledge and skills, they should utilize platforms such as Yuanhu Forum training, industry competitions, and red campus preaching. Additionally, they should strengthen cooperation and exchange mechanisms with universities and other departments, research and create high-level teaching point explanations, develop research topics in party history and cultural history, produce demonstration explanation videos, and plan unique tourism routes. They should also engage in academic exchange activities, continuously innovate the form of explanation, update the train of thought in explanation, and provide flexible and diverse explanation services.

Thirdly, to strengthen guarantees and effectively manage the team of guides. By selecting outstanding talents to join the team of guides, enhancing training and exchange, competition in various events, and undertaking tasks, they aim to cultivate "Five-Star Guides" who possess noble character, superb skills, and vitality, creating a high-quality team of cultural tourism guides who are reputable, capable, and willing to stay.

This assessment meeting further enhanced the exchange between South Lake Cultural Tourism Group, business management departments, and academic institutions. It played a role in rectifying deficiencies in cultivating "Five-Star Guides". Going forward, they will benchmark against outstanding enterprises in the industry, continue to strengthen the construction of professional teams, and effectively preach the "two cultures" of Jiaxing, continuously enhancing the red preaching brand of South Lake Cultural Tourism.
