Luxihui Historic District is located in the northeastern part of the old city of Jiaxing. It is bordered by Changshuitang to the east, Xiucheng River (Xiushui) to the south, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to the west, with Zhaqianjie River running through the middle. Covering a total area of 23 hectares, the district features traditional waterfront residences and a fishbone-like street pattern with vertical canals, composed of streets such as Luxihui, Xiunong, and Xiangyuanbang. This area retains many well-preserved traditional houses, showcasing the cultural essence of Jiangnan water towns. The district has one river running through it and three rivers surrounding it. All buildings along the river have been reconstructed to reflect traditional Jiangnan residential styles, forming a distinctive Jiangnan water town landscape. The shops along the west side of Xiucheng River are set to become an extraordinary flower and bird market, while the shops on the east side will be developed into a commercial street integrating dining, leisure, and entertainment. Luxihui is poised to become a large-scale residential and commercial area that also serves as a tourist attraction.
